D2 High Performance sends out invites to players after receiving coach nominations during mid/late January 2024.
As a reward for playing the Fall Loons 14U Tier 1 & Prospects Programs, those alumni in good standing, will receive a Spring invite automatically to the HP15 trials and the Loons 13O Tier 1 players will receive an invite to the HP14 trials.
The trials start after the Minnesota Hockey youth state tournaments. So, the trials usually start the last week of March. Parents are encouraged to sign-up ASAP once the registration link is active as spots are limited.
General Manager
Thanks to all the athletes for a great tryout performance and quality efforts on and off the ice for Phase 1 and Phase 2. For the Phase 2 Top 30 players, they trained with and against, the best of District 2's 2008s. The Top 20 Roster for the Phase 3 Spring Festival is below. These players will play in the Seeding Games on 4/15 & 4/16 and the HP15 Spring Festival at Plymouth Ice Center the weekend of 4/21-23/2023. Alternates are listed and don't practice with the Top 20 unless called up as a replacement player - one exception to that is an Alternate Player who gets selected by another HP15 District Team, they can practice in the next few sessions or skate with the new HP15 District Team. (We currently have 2 Alternates selected by District 11)
Parents of the players listed below need to register with the same link from Phase 1&2 and select Phase 3 by tonight or tomorrow by 3 PM, Thursday, April 13, 2023. We will give slots to other players in the pool starting at 5 PM April 13th although we don't anticipate any issues. Parents will be contacted by both email and mobile phone for any change in status of Alternate Players. Thanks again to everybody for a job well done.

UPDATE (2/9/2023): Invites will start to go out during the evening of Thursday, 2/9 throughout the weekend via email to the parent and/or guardian. Use the registration link in the email to register your athlete ASAP and no later than Thursday, 2/16.
Welcome to the District 2 Spring CCM HP Boys 15U Page (This is also the Home of Loons, our Fall Tier 1 & Prospects Team Name: in the Spring each Minnesota Hockey District uses their individual denoted District # for their team as opposed to some smaller Districts combining in fall; thus the Fall Tier 1 names - for us - The Loons = District 2 in the fall for HP14's & HP15's).
To be eligible for the 2023 Spring District 2 CCM High Performance Program you must have been born in 2008 (no play up eligibility), be nominated by your youth head coach (Only AA or A or B1 from the highest team of your Association), and have a permanent residence within District 2 based on Minnesota Hockey Association boundaries.
Home Address Association Boundaries Govern
If an athlete attends a private school or plays outside their respective Association, even out-state in Minnesota or out-of-state, for both Spring HP and Fall Tier 1 & Prospects, they must tryout through their Home Association district.
Nominations
Head Coaches please contact the team General Manager with questions. Head Coaches (including Junior Hockey and High School winter coaches) will send nominations using a 2023 Spring D2 Nomination Spreadsheet which will be sent via email by the GM by Sunday, January 8, 2023. Our tryouts will abide by the prevailing COVID-19 protocols for number of participants and arena procedures.
The purpose of the CCM High Performance Program is to identify, train, educate and evaluate Minnesota's best hockey players. The competition throughout the program gives each player the opportunity to measure themselves against others in his age group, gain knowledge about his development and to be exposed to outstanding coaching.
For more information on program structure, tryout registration and fees, visit the MN Hockey website.
