Our 14 Tier 1 team went all the way to district playoffs and missed USA Hockey Nationals in the championship game!

Important Things to know
MN 14 Tier 1 league is the only USA Hockey Sanctioned league that is National-bound. Playing with the Loons gives a chance to go to USA Hockey's National tournament in March 2025!
Eligible players for tryouts are AA/A players from your association, or players from the highest team in their association may tryout at the discretion of the D2 HP Director.
We practice 2-3 times (13-16 practices) a week and play a 20 game schedule and players are required to be at 15 games to be eligible for the USA Hockey Nationals Roster.
We play Tier 1 teams from all over our region as well as other district tier 1 teams, all the teams we play are competing to get to Nationals!
Players are required to make the Tier 1 program their number 1 hockey priority, and missing time for other hockey programs can affect playing time. Players are encouraged to play other sports that are in season, and will not be penalized for missing Tier 1 for their in season sport. Players are required to play in 10 games or more to be eligible for District Playoffs and the National Tournament.

Registration: $100.00 (MN Hockey)
D2 Team Fees: $1,450 (District 2) once the team is made

14 Tier 1 Information
District 2 Boys 14U/2010s Tier 1 Team for Fall 2024. The District 2 Loons Tier 1 team is an annual visitor to the Minnesota District playoffs.
Our 14U tryouts will consist of players with 2010 and 2011 birth years. Once the 13 and 14 tier 1 teams are created, players will still be in the running for our 14U Tier 2 team.
AFTER TRYOUT WE WILL HAVE A TEAM REGISTRATION ($1450 FOR 13'S, 14'S).

- Aug. 8 - 10: Training Camp & Opening Weekend (St. Cloud & Sartell)
- Aug. 15 - 17: League Games (Victoria & Chaska)
- Aug. 22 - 24: League Games (Victoria & Chaska)
- Aug. 29 - Sept. 1: No Games (Labor Day Weekend)
- Sept. 5 - 7: League Games (Moorhead)
- Sept. 12 - 14: League Playoffs (Plymouth)
- Sept. 17 - 21: Team Minnesota at USHL Fall Classic
- Sept. 26 - 28: TBD
*Minnesota Hockey may schedule weekday games for teams as well.

The winner shall advance to the USA Hockey National Championships.
