District 2's 13 Tier 1 Loons are back this fall!
The 13O Tier 1 league is back with more teams, and more games against some of the best. Our District 2 Loons have been ranked in the top 15 in the country for over 2 years!
We want you to showcase your skills at our tryouts in June 2025! Tryouts will be held June 14-21, 2025. There will be 2 goalie sessions. Exact dates and times within that timeframe will be added to the calendar as soon as possible.
For registration, player must have USA hockey Registration for 2025-2026 season.

Important things to know:
The MN Hockey Tier 1 and Prospects leagues are the only USA Hockey Sanctioned National-bound leagues.
Eligible players for tryouts are AA/A players from your association, or players from the highest team in their association may tryout at the discretion of the D2 HP Director.
We practice 2-3 times (13-16 practices) a week and play a 20 game schedule.
Players are required to make the Tier 1 program their number 1 hockey priority, and missing time for other hockey programs can affect playing time. Players are encouraged to play other sports that are in season, and will not be penalized for missing Tier 1 for their in season sport. Players are required to play in 10 games or more to be eligible for District Playoffs and the National Tournament.

We are the 2023 District Champs! Let's repeat in 2024!
District 2 Boys 13O/2011s Tier 1 Team for Fall 2024 to play in Minnesota Hockey's Tier 1 League. This is the second year for the 13O's and we are proud to say that we are the inaugural season's district champions. Our 2023 13O Team was able to compete in the USA Hockey National Tournament in April 2024.
Our 13O tryouts will consist of players with 2011 birth years. Once the 13O tier 1 team is created, players will still be in the running for our 14U Tier 2 team.
AFTER TRYOUT WE WILL HAVE A TEAM REGISTRATION ($1450 FOR 13'S, 14'S). The 13's tryout link is below and the cost is $100 through the Minnesota Hockey website.
Tryouts are $100 and start on 6/14/2025 ) ****Specific dates coming soon**** These will be held at Polar Arena.
Players will be assigned a group for tryouts. Players may move groups at evaluators discretion.

- Aug. 8 - 10: Training Camp & Opening Weekend (St. Cloud & Sartell)
- Aug. 15 - 17: League Games (Victoria & Chaska)
- Aug. 22 - 24: League Games (Victoria & Chaska)
- Aug. 29 - Sept. 1: No Games (Labor Day Weekend)
- Sept. 5 - 7: League Games (Moorhead)
- Sept. 12 - 14: League Playoffs (Plymouth)
- Sept. 26 - 28: TBD
*Minnesota Hockey may schedule weekday games for teams as well.*
October 3 - 5 - Minnesota District Playoffs - Plymouth Ice Center
The winner will advance to the USA Hockey National Championships.
