District 2's 13 Tier 1 Loons are back this fall!
In our inaugural 13 Tier 1 season, the D2 Loons made it all the way to Michigan for USA Hockey's National Tournament!
Do you have what it takes to repeat? We want you to showcase your skills at our tryouts in June 2024! Tryouts will be held June 15-22, 2024. There will be 2 goalie sessions. Exact dates and times within that timeframe are in the calendar below!
AS OF 5/16/24 - WE HAVE VERY LIMITED SPACES FOR TRYOUTS, IF YOU HAVEN'T REGISTERED, DO IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. ONCE WE MAX OUT ON PLAYERS, WE WILL CLOSE REGISTRATION PROMPTLY.

Important things to know:
The MN Hockey Tier 1 and Prospects leagues are the only USA Hockey Sanctioned National-bound leagues.
Eligible players for tryouts are AA/A players from your association, or players from the highest team in their association may tryout at the discretion of the D2 HP Director.
We practice 2-3 times (13-16 practices) a week and play a 20 game schedule.
Players are required to make the Tier 1 program their number 1 hockey priority, and missing time for other hockey programs can affect playing time. Players are encouraged to play other sports that are in season, and will not be penalized for missing Tier 1 for their in season sport. Players are required to play in 10 games or more to be eligible for District Playoffs and the National Tournament.

We are the 2023 District Champs! Let's repeat in 2024!
District 2 Boys 13O/2011s Tier 1 Team for Fall 2024 to play in Minnesota Hockey's Tier 1 League. This is the second year for the 13O's and we are proud to say that we are the inaugural season's district champions. Our 2023 13O Team was able to compete in the USA Hockey National Tournament in April 2024.
Our 13O tryouts will consist of players with 2011 birth years. Once the 13O tier 1 team is created, players will still be in the running for our 14U Tier 2 team.
AFTER TRYOUT WE WILL HAVE A TEAM REGISTRATION ($1375 FOR 13'S, 14'S). The 13's tryout link is below and the cost is $100 through the Minnesota Hockey website HERE.
Tryouts are $100 for 4 sessions and start on 6/18/2024 ) ****Specific dates coming soon**** These will be held at Tartan or Polar Arena.
Players will be assigned a group for tryouts. Players may move groups at evaluators discretion.

Aug. 16-18 - Tier I Opening Weekend - St. Cloud & Sartell)
August & September - Local practice sessions & competition weekends. *SCHEDULE SUBJECT TO CHANGE*
- Aug. 16-18: Training Camp & Opening Weekend (St. Cloud & Sartell)
- Aug. 23-25: League Games (Grand Forks, ND)
- Sept. 6-8: League Games (Elk River & Minnetonka)
- Sept. 13-15: 14 & 13 Showcase (Plymouth & Blaine)
- Sept. 20-22: League Games (Blaine)
- Sept. 27-29: League Playoffs (Richfield)
There may be 2-3 weekday games scheduled during the season.
October 4-6 - Minnesota District Playoffs - Plymouth Ice Center
The winner will advance to the USA Hockey National Championships.
